Students seek to bring change to community conditions
This Fall Semester will mark the beginning of a new student organization at East Carolina University. 
The ECU Student United Way will be the first Student United Way chartered in NC whose mission will be to partner with service organizations on campus to create a bigger impact in the community.
From conducting large-scale volunteer projects to raising student awareness of deeply rooted issues our community faces, the group seeks to champion the “Live UNITED” message and bring it to the student population.
The ECU SUW also works to connect with various organizations in Pitt County to provide opportunities for members to become more involved with their community.
Serving as a conduit between both campus and community resources, the group is excited to mobilize even more students to United Way’s cause, and epitomize the true meaning of community impact.
