Students make "Positive Impact" for UWPC
Greenville- Students at D. H. Conley raised $900 to donate to United Way and local charities.
Senior Jasmine Boota, club founder and president began "Positive Impact" in September, 2008. The organization's sole purpose is to encourage high school students to work towards raising money for local charities.
Students presented United Way of Pitt County with $450 towards their programs to Building a Safe and Healthy Community, Preparing Children and Youth for Life Success, and Caring for Neighbors in Crisis.
These proceeds will allow United Way to make lasting changes in Pitt County. Other recipients of the donations included Ronald McDonald house and Children's Miracle Network.
