2011 Breakthrough Funding
New Programs Encouraged to Apply for Funding
United Way of Pitt County has set aside funding from the 2011 Campaign to provide Breakthrough Funding to new programs. Programs must be collaborative and innovative and should address one of the community-selected priority areas: High School Drop-out or Unemployment. In addition, United Way will accept proposals with an emphasis on Safety-Net Services. Breakthrough Programs must focus on collaborative and innovative ways to meet the vision, goals, and metrics of the selected priority area.
Criteria: To be considered for funding, proposals must discuss:
- Collaborative partnerships necessary to program success
- Cost effectiveness
- Measurable Results, including client outcomes and anticipated number of persons who will directly benefit from the program.
Funding Range: Funding will vary according to the proposal and available dollars.
Funding Cycle: Funding is provided in one-year designations.
Timelines and Process: Proposals will be accepted and reviewed on an ongoing basis. If approved for consideration, the potential partner will submit a written narrative and budget plan for the proposed strategy. Successful applicants will develop programs in partnership with United Way staff and volunteers.
Recommendations for approval will be made to appropriate United Way leadership.
Community Impact Breakthrough Funding is open to all IRS designated 501 © 3, non-profit agencies located within Pitt County.
Please submit proposals at least 12 weeks in advance of proposed program start date.
